Christmas trees now decorate each entrance of the Minden Walmart after being taken down over the weekend.

The two large Christmas trees that were at both entrances of the retailer were replaced with smaller trees to make space for customers, according to a spokesperson.

A Facebook post was shared more than 1,000 times Sunday claiming all Christmas décor in the local discount store was being removed after a customer complaint; however, a Walmart spokesperson says that’s not true.

“There were two Christmas trees that were removed for space purposes and that reason only,” Walmart spokesperson Brian Nick said. “Any notion that Christmas decorations are being removed is not right.”

Nick said there are no plans to remove the Merry Christmas signage or any other decor around the store.
