Walmart to pilot Aira app for blind and low vision customers

On December 3, Walmart announced the pilot of one of its most requested accessibility initiatives – a wayfinding resource for blind and low vision customers – for free. 

Through the Aira app, available on the App Store and Google Play Store, customers can be connected to a trained visual interpreter and navigate all Walmart stores or Walmart.com independently and confidently.

Aira is free to use in all Walmart US stores, and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on Walmart.com.
