As we approach the start of the 2023-24 school year, the Webster Parish School District is filled with gratitude and excitement for the upcoming 15th annual Back to School Bash. Thanks to the success of the Pack the Bus initiative, the Back to School Bash is poised to make a profound impact on the lives of local students. On Monday, August 7th, from 9 AM to 2 PM, students can head to Webster Junior High School in Minden or the CAC building in Springhill to receive essential supplies generously donated during the 10th annual Pack the Bus event.
The outpouring of support from compassionate individuals and businesses across Webster Parish has been truly heartwarming. Thanks to dedicated volunteers and the community’s generosity, a diverse array of supplies, from pens and notebooks to school uniforms, will be distributed to ensure that every student is well-equipped for academic success.

This year, the Back to School Bash will return to an in-person format, bringing back the joy of engaging with students face-to-face. A day of fun awaits, complete with games, activities, food, drinks, and exciting door prizes.
“Everyone will leave with something, plus their school supplies,” said Ursula Hullaby, the Safe Schools coordinator and community liaison.
Organizers are thrilled to provide a memorable event where students can reunite with school friends and meet the caring teachers and administrators who are committed to their growth and learning journey.
Ms. Hullaby expressed the significance of this campaign, emphasizing the impact it will have on families in need. “The cost of required school supplies and uniforms can be overwhelming for many of our families,” said Hullaby. “Our goal is to ensure that every student has what they need to focus on their academic success.”
The Back to School Bash will give students, their families, community members, and the staff of the Webster Parish School District a chance to celebrate the spirit of fellowship and giving, and will ensure that every student starts the academic year with confidence and the tools they need to thrive.
