As the sun sets on a long summer season of golf, young athletes ranging from 8 to 17 years of age are preparing to showcase their skills at the Pine Hills Country Club Championship this Saturday. Organized by Zack Goodman and Jeremy Utphall, in collaboration with Pine Hills President Tommy Sumner and the board of directors, the tournament promises an exciting culmination to a series of events that have unfolded throughout the summer.

A total of 26 children signed up for the tournament, braving the sweltering summer heat during all but one day of play. Community sponsors generously provided sustenance for the young competitors at each event.

The championship, scheduled from 8:30 AM to 2 PM on Saturday, will determine champions in various categories, including Elementary Boys, Elementary Girls, Middle School Boys, Middle School Girls, and High School Boys.

The tournament, spread across several weeks, began on June 16 with subsequent rounds held on June 30, July 7, July 21, August 4, August 18, September 1, and September 15. To qualify for the championship trophy, participants must have played in a minimum of four events.

The culmination of this golfing season is eagerly awaited, with the winners of the championship poised to claim 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place honors. Stay tuned for displays of golfing prowess at Pine Hills Country Club this Saturday.
