Glenbrook third and fourth-graders top Tensas

It’s playoff time for the Glenbrook third and fourth grade youth football team, and they kept their season alive with an impressive 36-0 victory against Tensas Academy.

The young Apaches got great performances all the way around, starting with their quarterback, Landry Powell.

Powell completed five of seven passes against the Chiefs for 39 yards and a trio of two-point conversions for the Apaches.

Powell really excelled on the ground, where he carried for 53 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Reagan Coyle had a big game rushing with 95 yards and two scores, while Chase Sentell added 8 yards and a touchdown and Parker Salas contributed one carry for 15 yards.
Sentell added one catch for 15 yards, tied for the team high with Coyle who also had a 15-yard grab. Easton Sanders, Seth Mangrum and Blake Guin each had a two-point conversion catch for the Apaches.

Powell tied for the team lead in tackles with five, a number matched by Garrett Brown who had five of his own. Cayd Herron and Easton Sanders both finished with two tackles, while Preston Frye and Tucker Pitman added one tackle.
