Doyline senior Izayla Harris closed her remarkable high school career in style Thursday in the Ochsner LHSAA Outdoor Track & Field State Meet at LSU.

Harris won the 100, 200 and 400 meters in the Class B meet for the third in year in a row. She also won the triple jump for the first time. She was named an MVP for the third straight year.

Harris, an Alcorn State signee, finished with 11 outdoor titles competing in four meets starting as a seventh-grader.

Doyline tied for sixth in the team competition with Harris’ 40 points. Midland won with 64.

Harris broke her own class record in 100 with a time of 11.83 seconds. She set the previous record of 12.13 last year. She won by .92 seconds over runner-up Corinne Knatt of Episcopal of Acadiana.

Harris ran a 25.09 in the 200, almost 2 seconds faster than runner-up Shunna Williams of Mt. Hermon (27.04).

She ran a 59.27 in the 400. Eighth-grader Madi Stanley of Anacoco was second in 1:01.01.

She took the triple jump with a leap of 35 feet, 11 1/2 inches. She went that distance on her second attempt. Harris made one more attempt then passed on her final three. Her first and third attempts would have been good enough to win.

Christ Episcopal School’s Ella Laborde was second with a 34-4 1/2.

Doyline junior Jonas Florence took fifth in the boys discus with a 113-10. Episcopal of Acadiana’s Javion George won with a 131-2.

Doyline senior Nadia Lara finished seventh in the girls 300 hurdles in 54.85. Midland’s Camri Primeaux won in 48.26.

Doyline sophomore Zach Moreno finished seventh in the boys 3,200 in 12:29.65. Episcopal of Acadiana’s Anderson Frank won in 10:17.48.

Glenbrook sophomore Mattison Fowler was eighth in the Class 1A girls 800 in 2:44.28. Slaughter Community Charter’s Madison Easley won in 2:21.54.
