Chapman family delights Minden Lions Club with musical performance

by Amber McDown

The noon Lions Club in Minden was treated to a special performance on May 2 by the talented Chapman family. Rachel, Julia, and Georgia Chapman, the wife and daughters of Jake Chapman, captivated the audience with a set of Christian music that left a lasting impression. Rachel showcased her skills on the keyboard, while Georgia skillfully played the guitar, adding depth to the enchanting melodies. All three ladies sang beautifully, creating a compelling and inspiring performance for the Lions’ enjoyment.

Georgia, an 8th-grade student at Webster Jr High School, and Julia, a sophomore at Minden High School, each displayed their musical talents with grace and poise. Julia is a member of the MHS choir known as the Crimson Chorus, adding another layer of musical prowess to the Chapman family.

In support of young performers like Julia and the Crimson Chorus, the Minden High School will be hosting a free concert tonight, May 2, at 6 PM. This is a wonderful opportunity for the community to show their support and appreciation for these talented individuals.

The Minden Lions Club, known for its dedication to serving the community, extends a warm welcome to potential new members interested in joining their cause. Meetings are held every Thursday at noon at the American Legion Memorial Hall, located at 119 W. Pine St. in downtown Minden. Joining the Lions Club is a great way to give back to the community and make a difference in Minden.
