Minden Little League Week Two Recap

Little league football season is in full swing. Here’s a recap of last week’s gridiron action.

2nd-4th Grade

Cooper Tire 13
Saints 0

Landyn Huddleston led the Cooper Tire Cobras with two touchdows on 29 yards rushing, while his teammate Keithri Kimble piled up 97 yards to lead the team.

Tyrone Grider contributed 15 yards, Brennan Benton had eight yards, N’Kayleb Reddix had nine and Victor Gipson Jr. added four yards.

Maurice Rabb led the Saints with 11 yards, followed by Iverson Colbert and Jakobe Jackson with eight yards.

Lil’ Tiders 18
Punishers 0

Brayden Britton led the Lil’ Tiders with 92 yards, including a 70-yard touchdown. Isaiah Browning had a big game as well, totaling 38 yards and a pair of touchdowns, followed by Jacobe Rankin with 11 yards and Al Edwards Jr. with nine yards.

Darnell Morris was the top rusher for the Punishers with 19 yards on the ground. Hunter Perrin pitched in 14 yards in support, followed by Zigarri Miller with 10 and Jamarion Evans with six yards.

5th-6th Grade

Ducks 29
Punishers 0

The Ducks put it on the Punishers behind a big effort from Darryl Thomas who rushed for 182 yards and four touchdowns with a two-point conversion. Thomas got some help from Khyrese Taylor who finished with 69 yards and a two-point conversion, while Hudson Dillard added five yards in support.

The Punishers were led in this contest by a pair of Perrins, as Joel Perrin paced the offense with 39 yards and Jonathan Perrin contributed 21 yards. DaQuez Jackson ran for 25 yards for the Punishers, Dexter Smith had 24 yards and Jaylin Williams rounded out the offense with 15 yards.

Mohawks 20
Lil’ Tiders 13

The Mohawks earned a victory behind big games from Cade Boley and Kameron Talley. Boley finished the game with 44 yards and two touchdowns. Meanwhile, Talley went off for 95 yards and one touchdown. Andrew Cooper got involved in the offense with 30 yards, followed by Paul Clayton with 15 and Ethan Vise with 10.

Ty’Darrium Green powered the Lil’ Tider offense with 137 yards and a pair of touchdowns, followed by Chris Redding with 44 yards and a one-point conversion run. Javis Moore totaled 37 yards on the ground for the Lil’ Tiders and Darius Johnson added 23 yards.

Titans 32
Punishers 25

Eddie Markray had an outstanding game to lead the Titans to victory, rushing for 155 yards and three touchdowns. Markray got some help from teammates Jamaria Clark and Ty’Jaylyn Kemp. Clark carried for 67 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while Kemp finished with 29 yards and a two-point conversion.

D’Angelo Garner led the way for the Punishers with 115 yards and two touchdowns, while Jonathan Perrin broke loose for 79 yards and two touchdowns of his own. Riley Streetman pitched in 15 yards, Makel Hawk had six and Kamryn Lewis finished with three yards.
