The Minden 11U Dixie All-Star baseball team won a state championship in Monroe on Saturday to advance to the Dixie World Series to be played July 21-24 at Osterland Recreation Center in Monroe. Minden defeated Monroe 16-11 in the title game after defeating Gonzalez 20-0, Sabine 402 and Jackson Parish 8-3 to go unbeaten in the state tournament. Team members are Cason Gibson, Kaiden Kinsey, Davis Powell, Jaxon Branch, Craten Ware, Sawyer Harris, Weston Duck, Ryder Malone, Andrew Locke, Brayden Watkins, Holden Williams and Noah Smith. The Minden 11U coaches are Steven Williams, Marcus Gibson and Greg Powell.
