The downtown flag pole is getting a face lift this week. Minden Mayor Tommy Davis says crews from Ad Sign Services Inc. will be painting the pole this week at the cost of around $880. He says the city will also be replacing some hardware. The flag poled was erected around in the late 80s by The Lions Club, which donated it to the city, he said. That project was led by Dwayne Anders.
