22 Hands-Up to host financial literacy class for Minden youth

by Amber McDown

The nonprofit 22 Hands-Up will be offering a financial literacy class for local students on Tuesday, September 24, from 5:30 to 6:30 PM at the Minden Recreation Complex, located at 1001 Recreation Drive. Sponsored by b1BANK, the class will be presented by the b1 FOUNDATION.

Designed for students aged 11 to 18, the event aims to teach important financial skills necessary for future success. “22 Hands-Up is going to try to be a bridge between the less-fortunate and success,” said Executive Director Darrell Hampton.

Refreshments will be served, and the class is free of charge. To register, call the Minden REC at (318) 371-4241 or Darrell Hampton at (318) 268-2223. Participants can also register online at the Financial Literacy Class RSVP link.

This class provides a valuable opportunity for Minden youth to gain essential financial knowledge, helping them prepare for a successful future.
