Recently, 4-H students of Webster Parish were pouring into the LSU AgCenter on Homer Road in Minden with their delicious treats for the judges at the annual Webster Parish 4-H Cookery Contest.; The following participated: Shelby Francis, 17, of Minden and Minden High School; Aubrey Gorman, 11, of Minden and University View Academy (UVA) for homeschooling; Ashton Gorman, 15, of Minden and homeschooled by UVA; It’Tona Swiney, 9, of Castor and Richardson Elementary in Minden; Ishmael Swiney, 9, of Castor and Richardson Elementary; Lola Ferguson, 10, of Minden and Richardson Elementary; Ashley Morgan, 17, of Sarepta and North Webster High School Knights (SENIOR!!); Brooke Walker, 18, of Heflin and Lakeside High School in Sibley (SENIOR!!); Harlie Walker, 17, of Heflin and Lakeside High School; Lila Jo Walker, 12, of Heflin and Lakeside Junior High School; Penny Lane Croad, 9, of Minden and Richardson Elementary; Edgar Silva, 12, of Dubberly and Lakeside Junior High School; Gage Nail, 13, of Springhill and North Webster Junior High School in Sarepta; Cailey Nail, 10, of Springhill and North Webster Upper Elementary School in Cotton Valley; Camryn Nail, 9, of Springhill and North Webster Upper Elementary; The judges were Tracy Winget of Minden, Evergreen Homemakers Club members Frances Foster and Charlotte Martin and Cindy K.
