College baseball: No. 6 overall seed LSU to host Dallas Baptist, Rhode Island and Little Rock in NCAA Tournament’s Baton Rouge Regional

The LSU Tigers will host Dallas Baptist, Rhode Island and Little Rock in the NCAA Division I Tournament’s Baton Rouge Regional.

LSU (43-14), the No. 6 overall seed, is the No. 1 regional seed. The Tigers open the regional at 2 p.m. Friday against No. 4 Little Rock (24-32).

In the other opener, No. 2 Dallas Baptist (40-16) faces No. 3 Rhode Island (38-20) at 6:30 Friday.

The regional is scheduled to conclude Sunday or Monday.

Little Rock is in the tournament for the first time in 14 seasons. The Trojans earned an automatic bid by winning the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament.

Rhode Island won the Atlantic 10 regular-season and tournament championships.

Dallas Baptist won the Conference USA regular-season championship.
