Minden neighborhoods prepare for National Night Out

by Amber McDown

Neighborhoods across Minden will take part in the annual National Night Out on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, from 6 PM to 8 PM, joining communities nationwide in promoting police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.

District A Councilman and National Night Out Chairman Carlton “Buddy” Myles, along with Mayor Nick Cox and members of the Minden City Council, is inviting residents citywide to participate in this year’s event.

National Night Out aims to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for local anti-crime efforts, strengthen neighborhood spirit, and send a unified message that citizens are standing together against crime.

Residents are encouraged to lock their doors, turn on porch lights, and spend the evening outside with their neighbors and local law enforcement.
