High school football: Lakeside routs Ringgold; North Webster falls

The Lakeside Warriors ended a three-game slide with a 66-20 rout of Ringgold on a homecoming Friday night in Sibley.

Lakeside evened its record at 4-4. The Warriors also moved up to No. 28 in the non-select Division III power rankings. The top 28 in the final rankings make the playoffs.

Lakeside hosts District 3-2A leader Mansfield (6-2, 2-0) Friday. The Wolverines defeated Winnfield 56-22 Friday night. The Warriors close the regular season against Winnfield (2-6, 0-2).

Ringgold dropped to 3-5.

Senior Kentravion Miller and freshman Jaden Clark both scored three rushing touchdowns. Junior Eric Jones, freshman Noah David and eighth-grader Malik Thorne scored one each.

Richwood 34, North Webster 6: At Monroe, the Knights offensive struggles continued in the District 1-3A loss.

North Webster dropped to 3-5 overall with its fourth straight loss and 0-3 in district.

Richwood improved to 3-4 and 1-1.

Despite the slide, the Knights are still on track to make the playoffs. North Webster is No. 24 in the non-select Division III power rankings.

The Knights visit Many (4-4) Friday. The Tigers lost to Red River Friday night. North Webster closes the regular season at home against winless Bastrop.
