The Minden Crimson Tide fell to the Northwood Falcons 42-0 in a District 1-4A game Friday night in Shreveport.
Minden dropped to 4-5 overall and 3-4 in district. Northwood improved to 8-1 with its fifth straight victory and 5-1 in district.
The Falcons dominated. According to stats kept for the KBEF-FM broadcast, Northwood had 384 yards to the Tide’s 95.
Northwood scored two touchdowns in the first quarter then added three in the second for a 35-0 halftime lead.
Falcons quarterback Nick Cervantes passed 187 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran for two TDs.
Kyran Johnson rushed for 115 yards on 15 carries. He scored on a 55-yard run in the second quarter.
Caylien Aubrey and Kaiden Shine both had 44 yards rushing for Minden.
Minden closes the regular season next Friday at home against Southwood. The Cowboys (3-4, 1-4)?are scheduled to play Booker T. Washington Friday night.
