Visitors to Purvéy Minden had the chance to meet scent designer Niven Morgan and Chair Whimsy founder Wendy Conklin during two public events held Friday and Saturday, drawing steady crowds and strong interest in each creator’s work.
Morgan appeared Friday, November 21, for a midday “Scent Sessions” meet-and-greet, where he discussed his line of candles, soaps, lotions and home fragrances. Attendees also browsed a selection of his products available on site.

Conklin met with guests Saturday, November 22, during a four-hour event showcasing her Whimsy & Co. collection. She brought two of her signature chairs, and both sold within the first 30 minutes. She also offered books and artwork from her newly launched line.
Proprietor Sara McDaniel said the community response was positive throughout the weekend and noted that visitors enjoyed the opportunity to interact with both creators.
The events were held at Purvéy Minden, 726 Broadway, and were free to the public.
