The Minden Crimson Tide dropped a 48-46 heartbreaker against the Airline Vikings Tuesday night at Airline.
The Tide led 37-32 after three quarters. The Vikings got within one late in the game with a free throw. Airline’s Eli Washington intercepted a pass at halfcourt and hit a long 3-pointer.
Minden had a chance to win but a contested baseline 3-pointer bounced off the rim and the Vikings controlled to rebound as time ran out.
Cameron Parker led Minden (3-3) with 14 points. Steven Lassien added nine and Javen Calloway eight.
Kevin White led Airline (4-2) with 17 points. Washington added 11.
Elsewhere, Doyline and Glenbrook were both winners. The Panthers improved to 8-7 with a 72-44 rout of Dodson. The Apaches improved to 4-5 with a 53-32 victory over Downsville.
North Webster (4-3) fell to Homer 78-65, snapping a three-game winning streak.
