Man arrested after stabbing in parking lot at local business

A Minden man was arrested after a stabbing was reported early Thursday in the parking lot of a business on Homer Road, according to a Minden police report.

Police were called to Minden Medical Center after a stabbing victim arrived at the emergency room with multiple wounds. Officers learned the incident occurred in the parking lot of a business on Homer Road.

The victim told investigators he and a coworker were “messing around” in his vehicle in the parking lot when the coworker’s significant other opened the vehicle door and began stabbing him. The victim sustained stab wounds to the left side of his neck, behind his ear and to his left rib area.

Police said the suspect and the woman left the scene together, and the victim drove himself to the hospital for treatment.

Following an investigation, the suspect, identified as Christopher Rowe, 39, was taken into custody without incident.

Rowe was charged with aggravated second degree battery.

All subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
