The Minden Lady Tiders opened District 1-4A play with a 9-3 victory over Northwood Monday at home.
In non-district games, Glenbrook rolled past Weston 19-0 at Weston and North Webster defeated North Caddo 19-5 at home for its first win.
At Minden, pitcher Lindsay Ryan went 3-for-3 with a triple, two doubles and five RBI. She scattered six hits, struck out 11 and walked two.
Kaelynn Williams had a triple. She also drew three walks. Kylie Ferguson had a double.
Minden (6-5) continues district play Tuesday at home against Caddo Magnet at 4. Northwood, which had an eight-game winning streak snapped, dropped to 10-3.
At Weston, Hallie Sutton went 2-for-4 with three RBI in the four-inning game. Addison Chanler went 2-for-3 with a double.
Gracie Heard went 2-for-3. Kynzie Smith had a double and two RBI. Gabi Brown had a hit and drew two walks.
Savannah Mangrum pitched a no-hitter with four strikeouts and one walk.
Glenbrook (11-3) hosts Plain Dealing Tuesday at 5 in a District 1-1A game. Weston dropped to 2-9.
At North Webster, Khloe Dinkins went 3-for-3 with a triple and four RBI in the three-inning game. Ji’siyah Bell went 3-for3 with a double and two RBI.
Ella Campbell went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI. Jacklyn Beaty went 2-for-2 with a double and two RBI. Laken Schildroth went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Pitcher Emma Newsom had two RBI.
