High school football: 7-on-7 tournament hosted by North Webster postponed until July 11

The second annual Main Street Invitational 7-on-7 tournament hosted by North Webster has been postponed until July 11.

The postponement was caused by heavy rain that swept through the area Saturday morning.

According to a post on the North Webster Knights Football Facebook page, the rain resulted in “standing water and mud everywhere.”

“We want out campus and fields to be safe for both players and patrons,” another post stated.

Teams scheduled to compete along with North Webster were Calvary Baptist, Homer, Magnolia, Ark., Huntington, Booker T. Washington and Green Oaks.
