Minden All-Star baseball and softball teams will compete in Diamond Youth Baseball state tournaments starting Thursday.
The baseball teams are competing in the 7U Coach Pitch tournament in Vidalia, the 8U Coach Pitch North Regional tournament in Shreveport and the 9U tournament in Bossier City.
The softball teams are competing in the 6U, 8U and 10U tournaments in Buckeye and the 15U tournament in Jefferson Parish.
All tournaments are double-elimination and run through Sunday.
The 7U Coach Pitch baseball team faces Mamou at 4:45 p.m. in its first pool play game. The 8U Coach Pitch team plays Concordia at 4 in its first pool play game. The 9U team
takes on West Monroe at 2:30 p.m. 9U state tournament.
The 6U softball team plays West Monroe at 3:15 in the first round. The 8U team faces Avoyelles at 3:15. The 10U team takes on Jefferson Parish Recreation District East at 2. The 15U bracket wasn’t available online.
