Former North Webster and LSU star Devin White has signed a one-year deal with the Detroit Lions, the organization announced Saturday.
White, a linebacker, had 174 tackles (95 solo) including 11 for loss, 2.5 sacks, one interception and one forced fumble in 17 games for the LAs Vegas Raiders last season. The tackles total ranked fourth in the league.
This is White’s fourth one-year contract since leaving Tampa Bay following the 2023 season. He was selected No. 5 overall by the Buccaneers in the 2019 NFL Draft. He played five seasons at Tampa Bay and helped the Buccaneers win the Super Bowl in 2021.
White signed with Philadelphia in 2024 but was released without ever playing.He then signed with Houston and played seven games in the 2024 season.
White signed with the Raiders in March of 2025.
