An Arcadia man was arrested Saturday, August 1, after police responded to a report of a man allegedly urinating in the parking lot of a gas station on Homer Road and later accused him of damaging a holding cell at the Minden Police Department.
According to a Minden Police Department report, officers were dispatched to Murphy USA in the 1300 block of Homer Road after receiving a complaint about a man urinating in the parking lot.
When officers arrived, they made contact with Christopher James Roshaun Blocker, 36, of Arcadia, who was seated in the driver’s seat of a Dodge Ram pickup truck.
Police said officers attempted to explain why they had made contact, but Blocker responded, “You didn’t get a call on me.”
According to the report, Blocker became increasingly agitated as officers continued speaking with him. Officers asked him to step out of the vehicle for officer safety, but he allegedly refused, telling them, “I ain’t got to.”
Police said Blocker resisted when officers attempted to remove him from the vehicle. He was eventually taken into custody, placed in handcuffs, advised of his Miranda rights, and transported to the Minden Police Department for booking.
While being held at the police department, Blocker allegedly kicked the holding cell door multiple times, causing damage that made the door difficult to open, according to the report.
Blocker was later transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center.
He was charged with disturbing the peace by intoxication, resisting an officer, possession of alcoholic beverages in a motor vehicle, and simple criminal damage to property.
All subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
