CADDO PARISH (AUGUST 17, 2026) – A 73-year-old Greenwood woman died in a fire over the weekend
Caddo Parish Fire District 3 responded to a residential fire in the 10,000 block of Highway 80 in Greenville around 4:30 p.m. Sunday, August 16, 2026.
State Fire Marshal (SFM) Fire investigators determined the fire began in the master bedroom and claimed the life of the occupant. The SFM Fire Investigations Unit is continuing to investigate the cause and circumstances of the fire.
It is unknown at this time whether the home was equipped with a working smoke alarm.
