Inaugural Fall Fuels Fest set for Friday, October 16 on the shores of Caney Creek Reservoir in Chatham, Louisiana

BATON ROUGE, La. – Louisiana Clean Fuels (LCF) invites residents, families, and businesses across North and Central Louisiana to the inaugural Fall Fuels Fest, an outdoor clean transportation celebration taking place Thursday, October 16, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Jimmie Davis State Park in Chatham, Louisiana.

The event will be held at the park’s scenic lakeside pavilion on Caney Creek Reservoir and is open to the public. Admission is $5 in advance or $10 at the door and includes park admission for the day, lunch, beverages, and entertainment. Children 12 and under are free when accompanied by a paid adult. 

Fall Fuels Fest is designed to bring people together for a fun afternoon in the great outdoors while learning about domestically produced transportation fuels and advanced vehicle options that can help lower operating costs and reduce emissions. The fest is a family friendly networking event that can be extended to a weekend getaway at the park.

Louisiana Clean Fuels Executive Director Ann Vail sees the event as an opportunity to bring conversations about transportation fuel to a new audience. “North Louisiana is home to thousands of businesses, fleet operators, and families who are making fuel and vehicle decisions every day — often without knowing what options are available to them,” said Vail. “Fall Fuels Fest is our way of bringing that information to them in a setting that feels like a true Louisiana celebration. Good food, great music, and real conversations about the future of transportation.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about alternative fuels and advanced vehicle technologies, including natural gas, propane, and electric vehicles. Representatives from Cummins will be on hand to talk about their new X15N Natural Gas engine and the Louisiana Department of Weights and Measures will discuss the state’s new inspection program for EV chargers across the state. Attendees will also learn how many Louisiana fleets are avoiding the negative impacts of high diesel prices through the use of domestic fuels like propane, CNG, and EVs.

Sponsors include headline sponsor Cleco along with Novaspark Energy, Kenworth of Louisiana, Entergy, and Alliance Autogas. Fresh Louisiana seafood will be provided on-site by the Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board.

Fall Fuels Fest is within a roughly two-hour drive of Monroe, West Monroe, Ruston, Minden, Natchitoches, Farmerville, Bastrop, and El Dorado, Arkansas. Visitors traveling all over, including from Shreveport and Alexandria are also welcome.
