by Minden Press-Herald

I am proud to announce that the City of Minden has partnered with Keep Louisiana Beautiful to  install 20 litter enforcement signs throughout Minden. Through the Office of the Lieutenant  Governor’s Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism (DCRT), the Keep Louisiana  Beautiful Initiative further authorizes the DCRT to assist local governments, industries, and other  organizations that aid in anti-litter efforts in Louisiana. The litter enforcement signs have been  placed in the following areas:

District A East Union Street, Fincher Road, Industrial Drive, and Talton Street District B Lee Street, Pine Street, Sheppard Street, and Sibley Road District C Bayou Avenue, Milton Drive, Shreveport Road, and Weston Street District D Clerk Street, Constable Street, Goodwill Street, and Marshall Street District E Country Club Circle, Chris Drive, Germantown Road, and Goode Avenue

Witnesses are encouraged to use Louisiana’s litter reporting hotline, 855-LA-LITTER, to report  littering from vehicles by providing the make of the vehicle, the license plate number, and the  location of the littering.

Thank you, Keep Louisiana Beautiful and Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser, for helping to  keep Minden beautiful!

Nicholas A. Cox,
Mayor
