Karen’s Korner,
There are times in our lives that are very difficult,
yet, we experience a “calmness” and a “peace,” that surpasses
all understanding that seems to carry us through it all.
Even in death, we are relieved somewhat.
For the individual who is released from these earthly bonds
no longer suffers and is no longer bound by the helplessness and shortcomings of their humanity.
And, it is not so much their passing, as it is our loss.
For they have gone ahead and we are left with memories
that may fade from time to time,
but will always be with us throughout our lives.
For when all is said and done, we each face each day;
not in our own strength, but with, the guidance
and knowledge that we traverse to a much
higher plane through a formidable higher power.
It is a power so in tune to our needs here and beyond.
A loving, living power that reaches to the depth of our hearts
To touch the inward spirit, bring rest for the weary, comfort for the grieving, and peace to accept it all through His grace.
I do not know why death is so inevitable,
but I do know this one thing; there is no victory in death.
It is in living beyond.
