Ollie Mae Miles was born on March 15, 1924 to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lee. She accepted Christ and joined the King Solomon Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member until her health began to decline.

She served in the church choir for many years. Mother Ollie was a sweet person, she loved her family, but most important she loved the Lord.

Ollie married Foster Miles and to this union four children were born.

On Sunday, Aug. 23, 2105, angels gathered together at Minden Medical Center in Minden and called the name of Ollie Mae Miles to join the kingdom of Heaven.

She was preceded in death her husband; parents; siblings; two daughters, Rosetta White and Inez Tellis; three grandchildren, Troy Miles, Lreco Miles and Teneshia Miles; and stepson, Rasco Miles.
She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories, three children, Lillie Dawson (Alfred) of Houston, Gloria Miles (Jerry) of Heflin, and Foster Miles Jr. (Addie) of Minden; 25 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of life services for Ollie Mae Miles will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at King Solomon Baptist Church with the Rev. Rodney Williams officiating. Interment will follow at King Solomon Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Kennon’s Mortuary.

Visitation will be from noon until 7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 28 in Kennon’s Mortuary Chapel with family hour from 6 until 7 p.m.
