SPRINGHILL – It wasn’t pretty at The Palace, as the North Webster Knights fell hard at home to Class 5A Ouachita, 33-0.
“We didn’t play that well,” Knights head coach John Ware said. “Ouachita had a lot to do with that. They were pretty good, but we didn’t come out with any fire.”
North Webster running back Devin White was absent for the second half, finishing with nine carries for 43 yards to lead the team in rushing.
On the other side of the ball, North Webster couldn’t contain Ouachita’s athletes.
“They put a lot of pressure on you,” Ware said. “They hit two deep balls down the field that not many people can do. You have to cover every inch of the field which made things difficult.”
The Knights will have to rebound and be ready for North Caddo next week.
“I asked them after the game if this was going to define us,” Ware said. “We have the opportunity to run the table if we stay the path.”
