The Doyline Panthers and Lady Panthers were at home to tip-off their 2015-2016 basketball season against perennial power, Zwolle.

The Panthers fought hard against an athletic Zwolle team, came up short in a fast-paced game.
Doyline came out on fire, forcing Zwolle into a handfull of miscues and bad fouls. At the half, the Panthers trailed 33-24.
Zwolle made some adjustments at the break that led to the Hawks jumping out to a 40-24 lead to start the third quarter. The lead grew as big as 21, but Doyline fought back and cut the deficit to 53-40 in the fourth quarter. The Panthers could get no closer though, and Zwolle escaped with the 17-point win.
“We had too many self-inflicted wounds,” Doyline head coach Michael Normand said. “Not grabbing some rebounds hurt us. I’m proud of how we kept a positive attitude and worked hard til the end.”
Xavioen Jackson led the Panthers with 14 points, followed by Tyreck Wilson with 12 points and Jatavion Jackson with seven.

Katie Ferguson led the Lady Panthers with eight points in a losing effort, followed by Aslynn Williams with three points. Zacrisha Currie and Dixie Johnson each scored one point.
