It’s time for all aspiring artists ages 6 to 16 to sign up for this year’s Earth Camp at The Farm.
Students will enjoy a variety of art projects through different media. The projects are intended to inspire and motivate the creative spirit in each participant, Julie Vogel, Cultural Crossroads president, said.
“Each day they will do a different piece,” she said. “We hope through this camp we can help children find their creativity and realize their artistic potential.”
Professional artist Baygent Baker, art instructor for all three camps this year, will work directly with the children for the weeklong projects.
The camps will be held June 19 through 23, June 26 through 30 and July 24 through 28, from 9 a.m. until noon each day. The cost is $125, which includes supplies, a daily snack and an official Earth Camp t-shirt.
The camp will be at Zenobia’s House at The Farm, located on the corner of Talton and East Union in Minden.
Register before May 30, and a $25 discount will be given for each child. Registration is limited to the first 20 for each session. Make checks payable to Cultural Crossroads, and mail to Earth Camp, P.O. Box 1393, Minden, LA 71058.
