Students get ready to head back to school

Students at all three elementary schools in Minden registered for school Sunday afternoon. First grade students at J.E. Harper Elementary, fourth and fifth grade at E.S. Richardson Elementary and third and fourth grade at J.L. Jones Elementary, along with their parents, were given the opportunity to meet and visit with teachers before school begins. Parents of kindergarteners at Harper will be sent letters with dates for orientation. The first day of school for all kindergartners is Tuesday, Aug. 22. School begins Aug. 14.
