A Springhill man was found in possession of meth and marijuana Friday after being pulled over for speeding.
Larry Smith, 44, was pulled over on highway 371 near Fuller Road for driving nearly fifteen miles-per-hour over the highway speed limit. As officer Billy Rasberry made contact, he noticed a grinding tool commonly used for narcotics lying in plain sight in Smith’s vehicle.

Marijuana Possession 2
A Grambling man was arrested Sunday on marijuana possession charges after crashing his vehicle on Interstate 20 near Minden.
Domonique Williams, 22, crashed into the bridge railing on eastbound I-20 near the 45 mile marker. Williams claimed a truck swerved into his lane, forcing him to swerve and hit the railing.
While speaking with passengers, one of whom was six years old, Deputy Marshall Merritt spotted a grinder commonly used for marijuana. This initiated a search of Williams’s person, which yielded a baggie of suspected natural marijuana. A glass smoking device with marijuana residue was also found.
The vehicle was towed, and Williams was booked into BDCC on counts of marijuana possession, including possession in the presence of a minor.
