At their March 14, 2019 meeting, the Webster Parish Cattlemen’s Association recognized Mr. Buddy Thomas, longtime Webster Parish cattle producer, with their Cattle Producer of the Year Award for 2018. Raised on a farm near Shongaloo, Mr. Thomas has spent a lifetime in service to agriculture in Webster Parish. Mr. Thomas served for many years as the County Agricultural Extension Agent for Webster Parish and has been a cattle producer throughout much of his life.
The Webster Parish Cattlemen’s Association serves as a voice for cattle producers in Webster Parish and holds meetings quarterly throughout the year. All producers, business owners, or interested community members are encouraged to attend and join.
