Funeral services for Stuart Blake Simonton will be held Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Rev. Fred Wideman officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Minden, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday, February 7, 2020 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home. 

Blake was born March 3, 1994 in Bossier City, Louisiana and passed away unexpectedly at home on February 3, 2020. Blake was a 2012 graduate of Glenbrook High School and was currently a Senior at LA Tech pursuing a degree in business finance. He was an avid sports fan who loved the LSU Tigers, New Orleans Saints and St. Louis Cardinals Baseball. He enjoyed playing golf with friends, tubing at Lake Claiborne and hunting with his cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Lonnie Dendy of Minden. 

He is survived by his parents Stuart and Cathy Simonton of Cotton Valley, Pamela and Timmy Joe Hanson of Minden, grandparents Paula Dendy of Minden, Gerald and Jane Simonton of Minden, sisters Meagan Alyssa Simonton and husband Hoss Farr of Kopperl, Texas, Laura Perryman and husband Brandon of Minden, Rachel Cole of Cotton Valley, and Brooke Duck and husband Corey of Springhill. Blake was the beloved uncle “Buncle” of Camden and Lincoln Farr, Stella and Sutton Perryman and Gunner and Kypton Duck who will all miss him dearly! 

Blake is survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Several who were special to him including John and Amy Simonton, Steven and Sue Ellen Simonton and Lonya Dendy Brown. Blake grew up with a group of special cousins who were more like brothers and sisters to him – Clay, Gracie, and Camille Simonton, Kaley, Abby and Nolan Simonton, Zack Brown and Carley Wise. 

Blake was dearly loved by all his family and friends. Positive, laid back and quick to smile, he will be truly missed by all who knew him. 

Pallbearers will be Zack Brown, Clay Simonton, Craig Prestidge, Nolan Simonton, Brandon Perryman, Cade Spurlock, Colton Spurlock and Seth Clemons. 

Honorary pallbearer: Johnny A. Jackson.
