Minden Medical Center opens doors to visitors starting today

by Will Phillips

Today Minden Medical Center announced that it will once again be accepting visitors for patients. This is only limited to certain departments, with most being limited to one visitor at a time after partaking in a COVID-19 screening at the front door. They will also not be allowing visitors in the COVID unit or with COVID positive patients and patients under investigation.

“We at Minden Medical Center understand the importance of having loved ones close during a hospital stay,” the update from Minden Medical Center reads,

“We are looking forward to welcoming back visitors and hope this update to our visitor restriction policy ensures peace of mind for loved ones and brings a source of comfort to our patients.”

Visitation hours are set from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m, all visitors must enter through the front doors and complete a COVID screening, and masks must be worn at all times.

The specifics of each department and their visitation guidelines can be found below.
