My name is Henry Bridges and I am announcing my candidacy for Minden City Council, District D, vacated when currently-elected Keith Beard moved away. I have been married to my wife, Kathy, for more than 47 years and we have three children and six grandchildren.

I was born in Minden and am a 1968 graduate of Minden High School and a 1972 graduate of NLU, now University of Louisiana, Monroe. I had a more than 40-year career in banking, serving in leadership positions in banks in Bastrop, Ruston and Minden. I moved back to Minden in 2003 and retired from Citizens National Bank at the end of 2015.

During my career, I served on many, many volunteer boards and organizations. I have held positions of leadership, not only at the Banks, but at Churches, Chambers of Commerce, Industrial and Economic Development boards, and in fund-raising for United Way, Boy Scouts and many others.

I believe my experience in analyzing situations, managing scores of employees, serving hundreds of customers and working with others on boards and in the public will serve me well in the position of Council-person.

I humbly ask for your vote and support. Thank you.

Henry W. Bridges
