Tannya Pesses Cole, a 1st grade teacher at Browning Elementary School, was bestowed the Employee of the Month award during the February Webster Parish School Board meeting.
Scott Walker of Taylor and Sons, who presented the award, read Ms. Cole’s nomination letter:
“Ms. Cole is a 1st grade teacher at Browning Elementary. She wears many hats for Browning Elementary on a daily basis. Some of her responsibilities include being a mentor teacher to the teachers who are at Browning with zero to four years of experience. She is a member of the instructional leadership team, and she is a member of the district planning committee that helps the EL program.
“On top of this, she maintains a welcoming classroom that benefits the academic achievement of all of her students. Quite simply put, Browning Elementary is thankful for Ms. Cole and all she does, and we are proud to recognize her as the Webster Parish Employee of the Month.”

The next school board meeting will be held at the school board office on March 13, 2023, at 6 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.
