Glenbrook’s Maddox Mandino and Hayden Harmon both fared well in the recent Louisiana High School Coaches Association/Louisiana Baseball Coaches Association East-West All-Star Games held at Louisiana Christian University in Pineville.
The games were for seniors only. Mandino and Harmon played for the West team.
Mandino, who is headed to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, led off Game 2. He went 1-for-2 and had a stolen base.
He also pitched to one batter in the seventh inning and struck him out.
Harmon pitched two innings, which was the maximum allowed. He had two strikeouts.
Harmon is headed to Louisiana Tech.
The East won Game 2 10-2. Natchitoches Central’s Alex Dupuy was named the West MVP.
Mandino and Harmon led Glenbrook to a 24-9 record and the semifinals of the select Division IV playoffs.
