The Minden Crimson Tide’s season came to an end  Friday night with a 42-8 loss to West Feliciana in the first round of the non-select Division II playoffs in St. Francisville.

Minden, the No. 8 seed, closed the season 3-8. West Feliciana (9-2), the No. 5 seed, will host No. 12 Opelousas in the second round.

Minden didn’t find much success against a tough Saints defense.

According to stats kept for the KASO/KBEF radio broadcast, the Tide had just four first downs.

Minden avoided the shutout when Dunavon Robinson sprinted 80 yards for a touchdown with 6:24 left in the game.

Robinson, a junior, gained 132 yards on 15 carries. But the Tide had only 122 total yards because of losses.

Robinson finished the season as the Tide’s top rusher with 748 yards on 127 carries.

West Feliciana’s Joel Rogers scored four touchdowns, three rushing and one receiving.

Thomas Temple II completed 11-of-13 passes for 116 yards and rushed for 56.

Minden trailed only 8-0 after the first quarter. West Feliciana took control in the second with three touchdowns for a 28-0 halftime lead.
