NLTCC Students Excel in ATMAE Video Competition

The students from Northwest Louisiana Technical Community College’s Industrial Instrumentation and Electrical Technology program have gained recognition by securing 3rd Place in the ATMAE Student Challenge Undergraduate Video Competition.

ATMAE, an organization that accredits programs like the one at NLTCC, ensures that students receive top-notch education in fields such as instrumentation technology, making them excellent candidates for the job market.

The winning video was created by students Jayden Allen, Michael Young, Angel Smith, and their instructor, Mr. McCrary. In their video, they shared compelling reasons why employers should hire graduates from ATMAE-accredited programs. The video highlighted the ways in which these students are prepared to excel in the workforce, such as their understanding of professionalism, teamwork, and adaptability.

The Industrial Instrumentation and Electrical Technology program at NLTCC teaches students to become highly skilled instrument technicians. Students learn a wide range of valuable skills, from mastering electrical and electronic technology, understanding PLCs, utilizing measurement devices, comprehending control valves, to effectively managing various processes. Safety measures are given great importance, and students are equipped with the knowledge and abilities to set up, care for, identify issues with, and fix different instruments.
