High school football: Minden’s Jonathan Bradford, Demetrius Robinson, Jakobe Jackson named first-team All-District 1-4A

Three Minden players have been named to the All-District 1-4A first team.

They are junior offensive lineman Jonathan Bradford, junior defensive lineman Demetrius Robinson and senior Jakobe Jackson.

Jackson, a receiver/running back and defensive back, made the first-team defense at athlete and second-team offense at the same spot. He also made the second-team defense at defensive back.

Jackson rushed for 669 yards on 121 carries and scored 12 touchdowns. He also caught 16 passes for 149 yards and two touchdowns.

Jackson intercepted three passes.

Junior running back Dunavon Robinson, senior wide receiver Cameron Mitchell, junior offensive lineman Garrett Dooly and junior offensive lineman James Williams also made the second team.

Robinson led Minden in rushing with 748 yards on 127 carries. He scored seven touchdowns.

Mitchell caught 38 passes for 409 yards and two touchdowns.

Minden’s honorable mention selections were senior tight end Nolan Garms, offensive lineman junior Denarius Crowe, junior defensive lineman Jarvis Davis, junior linebacker Landyn Huddleston, senior linebacker Alderick Edwards, senior defensive back Brian Turner and senior defensive back Kethric Kimble.

NOTE: There is an error in the Dec. 6 print edition from the source. Demetrius Robinson, not Dunavon, was named to the first-team defense as it states above.
