The Minden Lady Tiders advanced to the girls championship game of the Car Giant of Minden Minden Holiday Classic Friday night at Minden.
The Lady Tiders defeated Homer 39-30 in the semifinals. Minden (6-4) faces Arcadia (12-1) for the title at 6:40 p.m. Saturday. The Lady Hornets defeated Mansfield 43-29 in the other semifinal.
In the boys division, Minden fell to Ringgold 60-45 in the semifinals.
The Crimson Tide dropped to 7-3.
In the other semifinal, Calvary Baptist downed Parkway 76-63.
The Redskins (12-2) and Cavaliers (9-3) face off at 8 for the championship.
Action gets underway Saturday at Minden High with the girls consolation finals between Richwood and Loyola at 4. Green Oaks takes on Camden, Ark., at 5:20 in the boys consolation finals.
Brooklyn Jefferson led the Minden girls with 17 points. She also had eight rebounds, two assists and two blocks.
Alliyah had 10 points and two offensive rebounds. Travesti Byrd had nine points and five assists.
Ringgold’s Jbari Adams had 28 points and 13 rebounds against Minden. Jordyn Wilson had 17 points and five steals.
Calvary’s Rondae Hill scored 17 of his game-high 29 points against Parkway in the first half.
Bubba Strong had 18 and TJ Jamison 14.
Brhaelyn Brown led Parkway (10-5) with 16.
