Downtown Minden welcomed the delectable addition of Shug’s, a new ice cream shop, on Saturday, February 3. The opening festivities coincided with the celebration of National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day, adding an extra layer of sweetness to the occasion. Patrons were invited to don their pajamas and indulge in the special ice cream breakfast menu featuring freshly made waffles with ice cream, ice cream sandwiches crafted with donuts, or yummy cereal shakes.
Owner Mandi Hart and her vibrant team of Joy Scoopers created a joyful atmosphere for ice cream enthusiasts and locals alike. The unique breakfast offerings showcased the creativity and enthusiasm that Shug’s brings to the community.
As Shug’s becomes a fixture in downtown Minden, patrons can look forward to regular hours, making it a perfect destination for sweet cravings throughout the week. The store is located at 727 Main Street and will be open Monday through Thursday from noon till 8 PM, Friday and Saturday from noon till 10 PM, and Sunday from 1 PM till 8 PM.
Hart anticipates a formal grand opening event in the near future. Shug’s Ice Cream promises to be a delightful hub for the community, offering a variety of tempting treats to satisfy every palate.
