Four Minden High players and one from North Webster signed with colleges on National Signing Day Wednesday, the first day of the spring signing period.
Minden standout Jakobe Jackson signed with Grambling State.
Jackson was a running back, receiver and defensive back. He was a first-team All-District 1-4A selection at athlete on defense.
Jackson rushed for 669 yards on 121 carries and scored 12 touchdowns. He also caught 16 passes for 149 yards and two touchdowns.
Jackson had three interceptions.
Minden defensive backs Keithric Kimble and Brian Turner and receiver Cameron Mitchell all signed with North American University, an NAIA school located in Houston.
Mitchell was a second-team All-District selection.
Kimble and Mitchell were honorable mention selections.
North Webster star Xavier “Tutt” McGlothan signed with Southern Arkansas.
He was named to the All-District 1-3A first-team offense at athlete and defense at defensive back.
McGlothan, a running back/receiver/quarterback, had 816 all-purpose yards and scored 16 touchdowns. He intercepted eight passes and returned two for touchdowns. He also had 59 tackles and two forced fumbles.
