The Minden Crimson Tide and Glenbrook Lady Apaches were winners Friday.
Minden defeated North Caddo 15-4 in five innings in the Minden tournament. Glenbrook defeated Northwood 14-4 in five innings at Glenbrook.
At Minden, the Lady Tiders scored 10 runs in the first inning.
Lindsay Ryan went the distance. She allowed four hits and struck out 11. Ryan also had two doubles.
Minden had 10 hits. Lizzie Balkom went 3-for-3 with three RBI. Brooklyn Edwards went 2-for-3.
The tournament concludes Saturday. Minden (5-7) faces Captain Shreve at 3 p.m. and Summerfield at 5.
In the first two games, Shreve plays Junction City, Ark., at 11 a.m. followed by Junction City against Summerfield at 1.
At Glenbrook, Rebecca Mosley pitched a three-hitter with seven strikeouts and only one walk.
She also went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Chloe Gregg and Hadley Haynes both went 2-for-3.
Vivian Still smacked a three-run home run to tie the game at 4 in the bottom of the third.
Glenbrook (6-5) opens District 1-1A play Monday at home against Plain Dealing.
