High school softball: North Webster, Doyline post victories

The North Webster Lady Knights and Doyline Lady Panthers posted victories Wednesday.

North Webster defeated Haynesville 5-3 at Haynesville, and Doyline downed Mansfield 15-0 at Doyline.

At Haynesville, Emma Newsom pitched a two-hitter with 11 strikeouts.

Adryana White went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Ella Campbell hit a two-run home run.

North Webster (5-7) is scheduled to host Carroll Thursday in a District 1-3A game.

At Doyline, the Lady Panthers scored 14 runs in the first inning.

Kanyion Bartlett went 3-for-3 with five RBI. Lanie Gates drew three walks.

Sariyah Gill didn’t allow a hit and struck out three in the two-inning game.

Doyline improved to 6-6.
