The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development reminds motorists lane and interstate closures have been scheduled on I-20 at the LA 531 interchange near Minden in Webster Parish to allow for continued construction activities as part of the ongoing bridge replacement project at this location.
On Wednesday, August 28, 2024, I-20 westbound will be reduced to one lane from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for overhead bridge construction work to take place.
On the night of Thursday, August 29, 2024, both I-20 eastbound and westbound will be closed from approximately 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. to allow for overhead bridge construction work.
During the nighttime interstate closure, traffic will be diverted onto the off-ramps at LA 531, and back onto I-20 via the on-ramps.
The entire project is anticipated to be complete in Summer 2025, with progress dependent on weather conditions and other factors that can impact construction timelines.
Restrictions/Permits: Total interstate closure at the specified location on the night of 8/29/2024. All vehicles will be detoured via the on and off-ramps at the interchange.
