Cookbook Club at The Farmer’s Daughter
By Cindy K Richardson
At 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, Sherry Bromberg began the first Cookbook Club at The Farmer’s Daughter, located at 701 Main St. in Minden.
This unique club instructions were to bring your favorite cookbook so of course I brought two just in case someone didn’t have one.
The variety was really awesome for six if us at the first meeting. Cookbooks ranged from vegan, Texan, Giada with her unique Italian, a thick old-fashioned one, my Joanna Gaines Magnolia Table and the chosen one….Come to Our Table by Springhill former United Methodist Church.
So the five of us drew to see what dish from that cookbook we’d each get.
LaTianna Bernestine of Minden entree; Angela Thatcher of Doyline appetizer; Susie Young dessert, Jeanna Sulzer salad and I, Cindy K Richardson of Sarepta side1.
We encourage everyone to bring a dish from your favorite cookbook, the recipe and a copy of your recipe to our next meeting, which is 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15.
Encourage your spouse or significant other to make a dish, etc. and join the fun! The meal each month will be fantastic!
Please let our leader Sherry Bromberg know what you are bringing so we don’t have 10 desserts and one entree.
Her email is [email protected].
